Types Of Vaccinations
Pfizer
Age Recommendation – Above five years old
Number of doses – Two doses, twenty-one days apart. People with a weakened immune system should get one more shot twenty-eight days later after getting their final dose.
Booster – After finishing the Pfizer-BioNTech main course, it is advised that everyone over the age of 12 receive a booster dose at least five months later. Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 is the only vaccine booster given to adolescents aged 12 to 17. Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna boosters are recommended for adults 18 years of age and older in the vast majority of cases.
Moderna
Age Recommendation – Eighteen or above
Number of doses –Two doses, twenty-eight days apart. People with a weakened immune system should get the third dose after twenty-eight days of their last shot..
Booster – People who got the Moderna vaccines are eligible to get a Moderna booster after five months of their last dosage. Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna is the recommended boosters by the CDC.
Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen
Age Recommendation – Eighteen or above.
Doses –Single dose
Booster – Individuals above 18 should receive a booster dose of either Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna at least two months after getting the J&J vaccination.
