Mohan Rayala (M.D. F.A.A.P.)
Dr. Mohan Rayala has been a practicing pediatrician for fifteen years. He received his M.B.B.S. from Guntur Medical College (Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India) in 2000, and completed his Residency in Pediatrics at Andhra Medical College in 2003. After practicing for a brief period in India, Dr. Rayala moved to England in 2004 and pursued further training in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and practiced both community and hospital pediatrics. He was awarded prestigious membership into the Royal College of Physicians and Child Health.
In 2009, Dr. Rayala moved to the United States, where he completed an additional Residency in Pediatrics at the State University of New York in 2011. He then moved to the Greater Boston area, where he practiced at Chelmsford Pediatrics from 2011 until 2015. Dr. Rayala, his wife, and two children decided to move down south to enjoy snow-free winters and the beautiful (for most of the year!) South Texas weather.
Dr. Rayala chose the field of Pediatrics because he believes that as a pediatrician, it gives him the best opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life and future, and thereby impacting the entire family. Besides, kids are so much fun to be around! Dr. Rayala strongly feels that after becoming a father, he gained an even better understanding of how to be a doctor, since he was able to reflect on his experiences and perspectives as a parents as well.
Dr. Rayala is an avid runner who regularly reads, enjoys to travel, and plays table tennis and cricket. If he had to give one tip to every parent, he says, “Give each kid the best chance to achieve their best by believing in them. Encourage them to do their best and they will do the rest!”
