MEENA CHINTAPALLI

MEENA CHINTAPALLI (M.D. F.A.A.P.)

  • Dr.Meenakshi ChintapallDr. Meena Chintapalli has been practicing pediatrics for over 30 years. She received her Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India and completed her Residency training in Pediatrics from Howard University in conjunction with D.C. General Hospital. Dr. Chintapalli started her medical practice in Milwaukee, WI, and has been practicing in San Antonio (mostly as a solo practitioner) since 1989.
  • Over the years, Dr. Chintapalli became passionate about asthma treatment and control as well as developmental and behavioral pediatrics. Her work with behavioral pediatrics led her to effectively incorporate into her treatment plans knowledge of experiential neuro-developmental organization of the brain. She educates her patients on brain development and adaptive bio-social behaviors through counseling and guidance with the hopes that these techniques will help bring out the natural genius of every child. This work resulted in her receiving the AMA award in 2008.
  • In addition to her busy pediatric practice, Dr. Chintapalli has enjoyed doing community service by way of soup kitchens, medical camps, speaking engagements, and projects with the school districts in Texas. These days, when she has some downtime, Dr. Chintapalli enjoys spending time with her family and most importantly playing with her granddaughter.
  • If she had to give one tip to each parent, Dr. Chintapalli says “There is no book that will tell you how to raise your child. As long as you nurture them with unconditional love and tireless patience, you can bring out their inherent genius!”
